If you have any questions that aren’t listed below, feel free to reach out to kentstateallocations@gmail.com.
What are the steps to getting an Allocations hearing?
First, fill out the corresponding Google Form that you are requesting money for.
Second, use the Calendly link provided at the bottom of the Google Form to set up a time for a hearing.
Third, come to the hearing with a presentation outlining anything covered in the Google Form.
How does an Allocations hearing work?
Meetings are 15 minutes long. Based on information provided in the Google Form and presentation, the Allocations Committee will then vote on the request. The Allocations Committee also reserves the right to adjust the requested amount to what they best see fit if there are any financial figures that do not make sense.
How many people can I bring to the meeting?
No more than 3 presenters.
How much money can I get allocated to me or my student organization?
It depends! For conferences, undergraduate student organizations can receive up to $4,500 while individual undergraduate students can receive up to $1,500 for conferences. If your student organization wants to put on a program for all undergraduate students, you can receive up to $10,000.
How long in advance should I apply for Allocations?
6 weeks in advance for both conference fundings as well as program funding.
What is the dress code?
Business professional attire.
How detailed do I need to be?
The more details the better! We appreciate every bit of information when it comes to your financial breakdown. Check out the Restrictions and Requirements page for and example travel itinerary and presentation.
